Free moving tool

Printable moving box labels.

Color-coded by room, numbered and flagged—so every box lands in the right place and the fragile ones get handled with care.

Flags

Only the labels print. Tape one label on two sides of each box.

Why labels matter on moving day

Clear labels let the crew carry each box straight to the right room—no stacking in the living room for you to sort later. Numbering boxes also makes it easy to check that everything arrived.

How to label like a pro

  • Tape a label on two sides, not the top—tops get covered when boxes are stacked
  • Use one color per room and put a matching sticky note on each room’s door at the new home
  • Flag anything FRAGILE, HEAVY or OPEN FIRST
  • Keep a list of box numbers and contents—our home inventory works well for that

Print tips

Use “Fit to page” in your print dialog, or print on full-sheet sticker paper and cut along the lines.

Common questions

Labeling questions

Where should I put moving box labels?

On two sides of each box rather than the top, so labels stay visible when boxes are stacked.

Should I number my moving boxes?

Yes. Numbers make it easy to check that every box arrived and to find a specific one quickly.

Can I print these on sticker paper?

Yes. Print on full-sheet labels and cut them out, or print on paper and tape them on.
