A different kind of move
A senior move often means leaving a home of many years, deciding what goes and what stays, and fitting a lifetime into a smaller space. The pace should fit the person, not the truck.
Plan the new space first
Measure the new rooms and decide where the bed, favorite chair and dresser will go before moving day. A simple floor plan lets the crew place furniture exactly where it belongs.
Downsizing in stages
- Start with rooms that are used least
- Set aside keepsakes and photos for family first
- Decide on donations and sales well before the move
- Pack daily essentials, medication and documents separately
On moving day
We can pack, protect and move everything, then set up the bed and key furniture so the first night in the new home feels familiar. Family members are welcome to coordinate by phone—tell us who to call.
Assisted living and retirement communities
Many communities have move-in windows, elevator reservations and rules about what can go in the hallways. Get them in writing and share them with us early.
