In-home moves

Moving furniture within your home—safely.

New flooring, a remodel, home staging or just a new layout: we move heavy furniture room to room or floor to floor without damaging walls, floors or backs.

When you need furniture moved but aren't moving

Some of the heaviest lifting happens without a change of address. Common reasons:

  • New flooring or carpet installation
  • Kitchen, bathroom or room remodels
  • Staging a home for sale
  • Moving a piano, armoire or bed upstairs or downstairs

Protecting the house

Doorways, stair rails and floors take the most damage when heavy pieces move inside a home. We pad furniture, protect floors and corners, and take pieces apart when that's safer.

Remodels and flooring

Coordinate with your contractor on timing: furniture usually needs to come out of the room the day before work starts and go back once floors have cured. Short-term storage can help if rooms will be out of action for a while—see storage between homes.

Staging for sale

Realtors and homeowners often need furniture removed, rearranged or brought in for listing photos. Tell us the plan and the deadline.

Can you move furniture out for new flooring and back after?

Can you move a piano upstairs or downstairs?

Yes. See our piano moving page and tell us about the stairs.
