Semester moves are all about timing
Leases start and end on the same few days, move-in windows are short and elevators are booked solid. The earlier you lock in a date, the easier it gets.
Apartments and dorms
Many student apartment buildings set move-in hours and require elevator or loading-dock reservations. Some ask for a certificate of insurance from the mover. Get the rules from the leasing office early and share them with us.
Parents moving students from out of town
You can book and coordinate by phone. Tell us who'll be at the apartment to let the crew in and sign for the move.
Between semesters
Summer internships and study-abroad terms often leave a gap between leases. We can coordinate short-term storage so you're not paying for an empty apartment. See storage between homes.
Keep it simple
- Pack in small boxes—they fit stairs and elevators best
- Label boxes by room and keep valuables with you
- Photograph the old apartment when it's empty for your deposit
