South Austin packing services

Pack less worry into moving day.

A cupboard can hold a surprising amount when it’s time to empty it. We bring boxes, wrap, tape and experienced hands for a few fragile pieces or the whole home.

The right level of help

Full packing, partial packing or the supplies to do it yourself.

Packing can take longer than the move itself. Our crew can help prepare an entire home, focus on kitchens and fragile rooms, or supply the materials you need to finish on your schedule.

Full-home packing

We work room by room, group and label boxes, protect furniture and prepare belongings for an orderly load.

Fragile and specialty packing

China, artwork, clocks, electronics and other delicate pieces receive additional protection suited to the item. For pianos and large valuables, see our specialty moving service.

Office packing

Department labels, files, technology and workstations need a destination plan. We coordinate packing with the sequence of your commercial move.

Packing that survives the truck

How to pack like the pros

Whether our crew packs everything or you pack a few rooms yourself, these habits prevent most moving-day damage.

  • Heavy items in small boxes. Books, tools and canned goods go in small boxes; bedding and lampshades in large ones. A box should lift comfortably.
  • No rattles, no bulges. Fill gaps with crumpled paper so nothing shifts, and tape both the top and bottom seams.
  • Plates on edge. Wrap dishes one at a time and stand plates on edge, like records. Mark the box FRAGILE and THIS SIDE UP.
  • Label two sides and the top. Write the destination room and a short list of contents so boxes land in the right place without being opened.
  • Pack an open-first box. Sheets, towels, toiletries, chargers, medication, a few tools, paper towels and snacks for the first night.
  • Leave hazardous items out. Propane, gasoline, paint, aerosols and pool chemicals generally can’t ride on a moving truck. Use them up or dispose of them safely.

Common questions

Can I pack some rooms myself and have you pack the rest?

Yes. Partial packing is one of the options—for example, the crew can handle the kitchen and fragile rooms while you pack the rest.

When should I start packing?

Start with rooms and items you use least, about two weeks out, and leave the kitchen and daily essentials for the last few days.

What can’t go on the moving truck?

Hazardous and flammable items such as propane tanks, gasoline, paint, aerosols and pool chemicals. Keep medication, documents and valuables with you.

Boxes are patient. Deadlines aren’t.
